No Refund Policy
Last updated: February 28, 2026
We believe in being upfront about everything — including money. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase on Lume. All payments are final.
All purchases made on Lume are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this No Refund Policy.
1. Overview
This No Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the Lume app or any associated platforms operated by A Bit Stupid Company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By making a purchase, you confirm that you understand and accept this policy in full.
We encourage all users to explore Lume's free features thoroughly before subscribing to any paid plan. If you have questions about what a subscription includes, please contact us before purchasing.
2. No Refund Policy
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, credits, exchanges, or partial refunds for any purchases, including but not limited to:
3. Free Tier
Lume's core features — including profile creation, Lume Score™ matching, and messaging — are free to use and will remain free. There are no charges associated with signing up or using the free tier.
This refund policy only applies if and when you choose to purchase a paid feature. You will never be charged for anything without your explicit consent.
5. Limited Exceptions
We understand that technical issues happen. We will consider refund requests exclusively in the following situations:
If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a technical error on our end, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
If you were charged after successfully cancelling your subscription and can provide confirmation of the cancellation, we will refund that charge.
If Lume is entirely non-functional for more than 72 consecutive hours during your paid period and we are unable to resolve it, we may offer a pro-rated credit at our discretion.
Refund requests under these exceptions must be submitted within 7 days of the erroneous charge to abitstupidcompany@gmail.com with your registered email and transaction details. All other refund requests will be declined.
6. How to Cancel
You can cancel your Lume Premium subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period — your premium access remains active until the end of that period.
Cancel on iOS
Go to your iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Lume → Cancel Subscription. Apple manages billing for iOS purchases; cancellation and any Apple-specific refund requests must be handled through Apple.
Cancel on Android
Open the Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Lume → Cancel Subscription. Google manages billing for Android purchases; cancellation and any Google-specific refund requests must be handled through Google Play.
Cancel via Lume App
Go to Profile → Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan. You will retain premium access until the end of your current billing cycle.
Note: If you subscribed through Apple or Google, refund eligibility is governed by their respective policies — not ours. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for those disputes.
7. Chargebacks
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider without first contacting us is a violation of these Terms. If you initiate a chargeback, we reserve the right to:
- ✕Immediately suspend or permanently terminate your Lume account.
- ✕Dispute the chargeback with supporting evidence of your agreement to this policy.
- ✕Recover any amounts owed through available legal remedies.
If you have a billing concern, always reach out to us first at abitstupidcompany@gmail.com — we will work with you to resolve legitimate issues promptly.
8. Contact Us
Have a billing question or believe you qualify for one of the limited exceptions? Reach out and include your registered email address and transaction ID.
We aim to respond to all billing enquiries within 2 business days.
